RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to day maintenance activities
Preventive maintenance of all equipment’s like centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pump etc.
Breakdown maintenance of all equipment’s.
Overhauling of all rotating equipment’s.
Working with static equipment’s.
Carrying out of all Preventive, Predictive and Breakdown maintenance.
Pipe line checking works.
Commissioning works.
RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR
Replacing piston rings, guide rings, rod packing and adjustment of TDC and BDC.
Replacing main bearings and big end bearings.
Refurbishment of suction and discharge valves.
Remove and Reinstall Of cylinder liner.
Worked on the unloaded device of compressor.
Replace the Piston and Piston Rod.
Remove the Bottom Head & Check That Condition (Any Crack)
Check the All Clearance and the piston rod run out check.
Check the Web Deflection (using web deflection gauge)
Remove and Reinstall cylinder and Bottom Head.
CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR
Removal and assembly of rotor bundle.
Inspection of diaphragms, diffuser, thrust and radial bearings.
Maintaining overlap and axial float between stages.
Renewal of ‘O’ rings.
Removal and reinstall journal bearings thrust bearing and thrust disc.
Use of special tools for bundle removal / Installation.
PUMPS
Having relevant experience in maintenance in all types of pumps such as centrifugal, reciprocating and rotary pumps.
Obtaining a complete check list of the dismantled equipment and keep a record of the same.
Inspect the condition of rotating parts namely shaft, sleeve, impeller, oil deflectors, wear rings, bearings, coupling and stationary parts such as casing stuffing box, distance pieces and bearing housing.
Renewal of mechanical seals replacement of rotor checking wearing and throat bushes, bearing clearances
Hydro test of pumps to determine mechanical seal and casing leaks.
MECHANICAL SEALS
Worked all types of seals including single, double and single spring, multi-spring bellow type and proper rectification of the same.
Refurbished all type of single double, tandem and cartridge seals, having single, multi-spring and bellows.
Renewed packing seal faces and maintained operating length lapping seal faces to the required finish.
OTHER ROATATING EQUIPMENTS
Having experience in Gearboxes, Agitators, Fin Fans, Lobe blowers, ID & FD Fans.
Gearbox bearing inspection and gear backlash checking.
Engine main bearing, connecting rod bearing clearance checking.
FANS AND BLOWER
Having experience in preventive maintenance
Change the blade angels, belt aligning and tensioning.
GEAR BOXES
Involved in preventive maintenance and bearing changing and inspection.
Check the back lash clearance activities and tooth conduct checking and gear replacement.
VALVES:
Servicing, Pressure testing of various types of valves such as Gate valve, Globe valve, Ball valve, Needle valve, Butterfly valve, Safety relief valve, pressure relief valve and steam traps.
HEAT EXCHANGERS:
Involved maintenance activities of fixed, floating head type and U type bundle heat exchangers.
Hydro testing of shell test, tube test and doom test.
Tube plugging and replacement, Hydro testing.
OTHER STATIC EQUIPMENTS
Inspection of trays, down comers, drums, and supporting beams.
Assembling and disassembling the trays and leveling the trays.
