• Support Government customer, Navy Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Gulf Coast in the over site of installation, operation, shipboard testing and test witness support of Machinery Control Systems, Combat Systems, Auxiliary Systems, DC Systems, Electrical Distribution Systems, Hydrostatic pipe testing, Main Propulsion and Diesel generators.

• Responsible for maintaining a computer based up-to-the-minute status report of testing accomplishment of new construction shipbuilding. The information derived from this report is used to make decisions concerning construction completion and accuracy of schedule determinations. Distribute tests to the appropriate personnel for updating and tracking purposes. Maintains and distributes MCS signal tracking database.

• Provides technical expertise, judgment, and evaluation to support the customer, SUPSHIP Pascagoula, in determining whether the shipbuilder is meeting ship system test requirements.

• Provides technical information to the customer for use in answering the shipbuilder’s questions by recommending alternative designs or material solutions for engineering drawing-related issues.

• Witness ship system tests and prepares reports describing any test conduct or results that are not in compliance with the approved test procedure, including preparation or evaluation of engineering drawings, data gathering for use in the preparation of engineering drawings, and preparing and evaluating testing procedures and agendas.

• Reviews test plans and participates in review boards. Participates in detailed technical reviews of the shipbuilder’s ship system test program, reviews and checks engineering drawings for completeness, accuracy and compliance with instructions and appropriate standards and specifications, and informs the customer of any adverse trends and recommends appropriate action.

• Reviews engineering change proposals to determine impact on the test program. Witness operation of a totally integrated ship during sea trials and documents deficiencies using trial cards.

• Military Qualification test support – conducted 3 week EMI testing at Wyle Testing Laboratories for PICT Communications terminal.
