Assist with moving a non-profit company to the cloud July 2014 Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging

Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging is a not-for-profit group that is a part of a larger government agency that assists the elderly across all of Illinois. I was working with the Web Guild at the time. WIAAA ran into an ransomware a month or two ago and were now looking to cloud storage to assist in preventing this from happening again. I volunteered to assist. I worked with them to enumerate a comprehensive breakdown of some of the best solutions / companies from which to choose. They decided on using microsoft 365. I assisted in the transition of file servers to the cloud as well as email migration. It was a few terabytes of data and ~20 email accounts to migrate in the end. This task helped me become comfortable with Microsoft's cloud based hosting as well as client-facing.

Create and maintain a Wordpress website that has monthly posts July 2016 - present animationfixation.net

Wordpress site with a Ubuntu server hosted on DigitalOcean. Implemented the site from a Photoshop mockup given to me. It is a responsive website that is a modification of a simpler Wordpress theme. I maintain updates to the site, added a forum, and create a post every once in a while. I use Wordfence to check for vulnerabilities on the Wordpress side, and I am always alerted to posts and user creation for the site. I also do general updating and tweaking of various plugins I use on the site. I check ports every so often and make sure that the versions of Wordpress we update through do not have any known exploits.
