Project: MCASA

MCASA program provides capability to QVC to record their live channel content based on individual products, plan and schedule new shows with this recorded content and re-broadcast. After completion, this program is estimated to provide annual revenue of 120 Million Dollars to QVC. This program is divided in to 5 tracks: Content creation, content planning UI, Content planning services, Content Distribution and Content broadcasting. In this program I am responsible for test planning, execution, automation and reporting for UI and web services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

User Interface: This is the frontend for MCASA developed in Angular JS, HTML and Java script

Brainstorm with product owner and development teams to gather project requirements and understanding and create testing objectives.

Manual testing of the user interface for clip searching and show creation process

Contributed for test case automation using Selenium and created regression tests

Involved in Preparing, Reviewing and execute manual test strategies, test plans and test cases

Use existing tools and techniques to execute test cases and build scripts for performing testing and validation

Generated test results and defect tracking using HP ALM

NGVCP is cloud based VOD back office for Comcast. It is designed with distributed architecture and the components are developed by various 3rd party vendors. Testing involves validation of these components in isolation for interface compliance and progressively integrate and perform end to end integration testing. All components provide RESTful interfaces.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop test scenarios and scripts for each component based on interface specifications.

Execute test scripts using SOAP UI for individual components in isolation simulating surrounding components.

Perform end to end testing integrating all components (Integration testing).

Involved in designing Load test scenarios as per the business requirements for Benchmarking the performance of the application.

Performed regression testing for fixes and closed the defects in Test Manager. Involved in the end-to-end test and responsible for the Quality-Assurance of this application to complete in record time.

Provided weekly updates through status report using TestManager. Involved in Defect Reporting of the application using Clear Quest. Tracked changes to software, and maintained multiple versions using Rational Clear case.
