On Mobilink 2G+3G Swap project

In this quarter. I worked as an OMCR engineer on 2G+3G Mobilink swap project. I performed 2G and 3G both sites creations. I performed 2G and 3G both sites commissioning from U2000. I provided OMCR support to onsite personnel in troubleshooting the issues that we facing during sites pre- integration and clearing the hardware alarms on site. I learned the Abis-Over IP design for 2G sites and how to convert 2G+3G co site in to 2G stand alone site and vice versa.

I performed SAU commissioning on BARQ1, BARQ2, BARQ4 and BARQ6 BSCs. In this I learned how Naster server collects VIP stats from BSCs by SAUs. Page 3

I also created IUB plan for 3G sites creation by using data from ABIS-Over IP plan and RF DB.

I prepared script for second carrier implementation. I learned how we can increase cell capacity by adding second carrier frequency cells to the site. I also learned the implementation of DC (Dual carrier) and that by implementing DC on cell the subscriber can achieve higher data rates.

I also helped and configured LAMP site solution from OMCR. It is a new solution and I learned how it can be used to provide high capacity and coverage for indoor.

DC implementation on 3G end.

Layer 2 and Layer 3 Rehoming also done.
