Orlando, “OJ,” Mendoza is a unique and talented executive partner in the ORS- Operation Resource Service Inc., team. His primary objective is to successfully enter a strategic market by partnering with local, in-country insurance companies and financial institutions and leveraging their market knowledge with profitable, market specific products and services.

He has been the vice president of Strategic Business Development for Aetna’s Miami market. In this capacity, he developed new products and programs that address the economical and cultural needs of Miami-Dade County’s diverse communities.

With 30+ years of experience in the health insurance field as well as international business, OJ has contributed to some of the most interesting and challenging companies in our market place. Most recently, OJ was the executive director for reinsurance and marketing in international health products and services, as well as a contributor and implementer of the Neighborhood Health model for John Alden Financial in Miami, Florida. He has also had the unique opportunity to work for AIG/American International Group as their project manager and head their IT division for Latin American in Santiago, Chile, for three years.

Before that, Mr. Mendoza spent 15 years at Aetna where he held various, progressively challenging positions. He held positions as national underwriting superintendent, sales and marketing director for GEMINI Standalone Systems, application and technology programmer, as well as international business consultant. He has always been a pillar in diversity endeavors at Aetna. OJ began his insurance career with Prudential Life in Newark, New Jersey, as a district agent. He has now come full circle in rejoining Aetna.

Born in Havana, Cuba, OJ’s family moved and settled in New York City. OJ earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY.

He currently lives in Miami Lakes, Florida.
