CAPSTONE PROJECT
Position: Engineer
Project Statement: Design a device that will measure the oxygen saturation of artificial blood. Responsibilities:
Research and determine the appropriate electronic mass flowmeters for the device
Design a filtering method to extract correct cells
Ensure that the flowmeters are working properly with all other components
Assist with the construction of the device, including testing of oxygen concentrators, semi-permeable membrane, pump, and oxygen and carbon dioxide sensors
Assist with the development of a code used to calculate the oxygen content-partial pressure of artificial blood and the creation of an embedded system to display readings on a screen TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office, MatLab, Simulink, NI Multisim 14.0, Arduino, MiniTab Introductory Experience with Python
WORK EXPERIENCE
Biomedical Engineering Technician Intern Summer 2017 GE Healthcare, Alaska Regional Hospital, Anchorage, AK
Preventative Maintenance (PM) execution and process for many types of clinical equipment and devices.
Service call troubleshooting in response to customer work orders.
Customer service. Appropriate communication, explanation and follow up with customer to understand their problems and update about repair.
Primary shop responsibility for a week when the two other BMETs were offsite for vacation and other responsibilities.
