German state Saarland has contracted us to update their LPIS (Land Parcel identification System) for their IACS (integrated administration and control system). The IACS is a GIS, they use for calculation of subsidy claims of farmers. We used Digital maps of 2009 and referred 2008 photomaps.

Project:

GE Harris Harmon is a Railway electronics company, based in Melbourne, Florida. They have developed a Track Data management System (TDMS) responsible for storing and managing the track database. TDMS is an offline component of the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) III System being built by GE-Harris Harmon Railway Electronics for use on the UP (Union Pacific) and NS (Northern Folk) railroads. The database for this is built in Small World, as GIS (Geographic Information System). TCS is performing the data conversion for this system. The work involves in converting the track data from a host of systems like Microstation, MS-Access, MS-Word, and ASCII files into the smallworld database (VMDS-Version Managed Data Store). This is automated using the tools built in Magik an Object Oriented language that comes with small world, and VB6.

Tools Developed in Ge Harris-Small World

DelObj: This routine is for deleting the objects ids that are given in a text file.

Autoplace: This routine is for placing objects automatically by reading a text file for its location.

Validation:

Common Validation : This tool generates the errors reports by comparing the Objects fields against their <default> values.

Connectivity: : This QA Routine will check the Connectivity for Linear Objects and point objects.

Project:

GE Network, providing solutions for Vattenfall, an electrical based company in Sweden. They use ENMAC software for final output of electrical diagrams through AutoCAD 2000i. The converted AutoCAD diagrams are tided and ported into ENMAC software. ENMAC is the substation automation software.

PageBoundary: This routine is for converting region (i.e. regions like north, east, central, west) into number of ENMAC pages. Page size is (1200, 900). And numbering the pages start with (50,50), (50,51), 50,52) etc., This list updated into given MSAccess Mdb file.
