Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Shipping, receiving and inventory of Network equipment

Setting up network equipment with a basic configuration and ensuring equipment is ready for installation

Installation of network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls and APC power supplies

Daily work orders for switch port activations, switch port deactivations, break fix, and DNS entries

Travel to new or existing remote site locations to install, power-up, set-up, test and connect users new network equipment and ensure all users are working

Travel to remote site locations for office closings to shut down equipment and ship back to main office

Coordinated with our client’s and team members on a daily basis, collaborates with all Vendors, Material Providers, Contractors, Sub-Contractors to oversee delivery of cabling infrastructure work at a large campus. Working on multiple projects simultaneously in live IT facilities, used creative problem solving and teamwork skills to design and oversee implementation to safely complete projects

Design of copper and fiber communications cabling systems throughout office, IT lab environments, and remote site locations

Oversight of contractor installation of: Communications Cabling systems, Grounding, Cabinets, Containment, Cabinet PDU’s

Safety Leader – ensure that all projects are in compliance with safety requirements

Quality Leader – ensure that the installations meet best practices, code, internal requirements, and industry standards

Project Management – Provide direction, handoffs, and monitor contractors to assure that the project requirements are achieved and customer expectations are met. Served as the primary standard reviewer making sure that all of the following items are in compliance with the design specifications, code, and the client requirements.
