Annexure-I
M.Tech Project Title: Cognitive Radio: Spectrum Hole Detection by Parametric Power Spectral Density (PSD) Estimation.
Project Definition: The project’s aim is to detect spectrum holes in radio spectrum. Cognitive radio objective is to use scarce and limited natural resources efficiently without causing excessive interference to the primary licensed users. Consequently, cognitive radio has to sense and understand its spectrum environment, identify temporarily vacant spectrum, transmit adaptively and learn from its behaviour. In my project, the figure of merit of the process, namely, detection of spectrum hole are formulated by deploying a parametric PSD estimation. PSD estimation is to estimate the spectral density of a random signal from a sequence of time samples of the signal.
Software requirements: Tools- MATLAB.

B.Tech Project Title: Embedded Password Based Security Door Lock System
Project Definition: The main idea of designing digital locking system is to provide many modern security features, superior to traditional locking mechanism’s; here a keypad is used to enter the password. If that password is identical to that already embedded in flash of the controller then the dc motor is activated and the door is opened. If not matched then buzzer or alarm is activated.
