Achieved third place for “Best Project” overall, designed a preliminary chemical plant to produce styrene and ethylbenzene from methanol and toluene.
Performed extensive mass and energy balances on the entire chemical process in order to size and cost each piece of equipment and eventually execute a profitability analysis.
Capitalized on each team members strengths to distribute multiple tasks to complete as effectively and accurately as possible, developed skills in time management and delegation.
Chemical Process Safety Design January 2018 – May 2018

Lead a team of four to design a pulp production plant that would produce twelve tons of pulp each hour.
Communicated task assignments to teammates, implemented detailed work to ensure quality outcomes.
Executed mass balances to properly design each major piece of equipment and also to size safety relief devices to prevent process failures and maintain the well-being of the plant.
