Lacrimal Drainage and Irrigation Systems Device Design (Cleveland Clinic) Aug. 2017 – May 2018 SolidWorks, Creo, Python, Java, Arduino, 3D printing
• Studied the anatomy and the current procedure involved to clear blockage in the nasolacrimal duct
• Designed, built, and tested a new dispensing unit which analyzed and determined the type of blockage
• Utilized Creo to design our product, was printed using a 3D printer, designed a feedback control system using Arduino and python programming, worked with pressure transducers to record and validate our product’s working conditions
• Maintained design history file (DHF), analyzed and designed our product using failure mode and effects analysis Portable Showering Device for Hospice Patients Jan. 2017 – May 2017
• Designed an inflatable bed to help nurses shower their bed bound patients
• This device provides an opportunity to hospice end of life care a chance of getting a quality bathing procedure
• There are other similar devices available in the market but are expensive and most hospice care cannot afford them
