Summary of qualifications

I have worked supporting Microsoft products for over of twenty years. The areas that I have covered are:

Support for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT Workstation 4.0, Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, Windows 7, Internet Explorer versions 2 through 11.0.

The areas that I have dealt with are troubleshooting installation, hardware, and networking. Also problems with applications installed on the operating systems.

I have interacted with workstations, servers, domains and workgroups.

Network troubleshooting has involved using various tcp/ip tools such as ipconfig, ping, and tracert. I have used DNS entries to troubleshoot some situations.

Establishing and repairing connectivity to the Internet and home networking was another of my tasks.

At the Port of Seattle I was a part of a team that was deploying Windows 2000 on various machines using images.

At a few Microsoft Data centers I was involved with physically installing and imaging servers.

At another Microsoft Datacenter I was cabling and re-cabling taps for VLAN connections to servers.

I worked for the Microsoft Official Curriculum team for a short while troubleshooting the workbook processes.

At the Canyon Park data center I was the Lead for the graveyard shift of Site Services (managing the graveyard team, verifying work done which includes rebuilds, re-homes, renames and decommissions).

At the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle I worked with imaging machines, administering applications and user access along with troubleshooting problems on Windows 7 and various applications.
