Designed and implemented an Extract Transform Load (ETL) methodology to ingest relational, flat file and XML data sources into data warehouse environment for the Terrorist Threat Integration Center (TTIC) contract. Utilized Informatica Power Center 7.1 to implement ETL methodology. Developed and designed transformation components using Power Center’s vendor proprietary ITL language (i.e., parsing logic) to migrate legacy source data into target, common repository. Coordinated with Informatica vendor representatives to determine optimal strategies to implement best practices for development environment. This included developing migration strategy into production environment. Developed SQL scripts to perform data profiling and analysis activities on vetted, legacy data sources. Supported the design and implementation of Conceptual Data Model (CDM) and Physical Data Model (PDM) design for project, using SYBASE Power Designer 1.0. Used Power Designer to establish Repository Definitions and connectivity to Oracle 9i database environment. Developed software development folder to catalog development activities and environment. Developed a metadata cross-references between source and target systems.
