Major Project: Virtual Cloud Computing Provider for Mobile Devices

This system was mainly aimed at provision of virtual cloud computing environment for mobile devices. I (in a team of 3) developed an image processing Android application, accessed through cloud computing. Android phones without image processing application requests the central- a laptop or PC, to process image. The central server then looks for free volunteer – an Android device with image processing application installed, to process the image. The processed image then sends back to the central server and from the central server to the requested device. The communication between android devices and the central server is done via WIFI. This system was developed in Java as frontend and SQL as backend.

Mini Project: Online Medical Shop

The system was designed in VB 6.0. It allows the shop owner to keep track of supplies. Availability of stocks in shop, retailer’s information, generation of online invoice etc. are functionalities provided by Online Medical Shop. MS-Access was used as backend.

Major Project: ‘Online Leave Management System For Teaching and Non Teaching Faculty’

The system provides the facility to take leave online by eliminating paper based work. All the notifications regarding leave are issued online, via email and SMS to the user. This system was designed with PHP as frontend and SQL as backend.

Mini Project: ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’

The mini game was designed in C. I put 100 questions in program. As the player clicks on ‘start’, it chooses 15 different questions. Each correct answer would lead the player to the next question while a wrong answer would disqualify him.

Degree Level Seminar: ‘Quantum Cryptography and Network Security’

The seminar focused on how photon waves are used for secure cryptography and also how various algorithms are used to decrypt the hidden messages. I later presented the seminar at ‘Paroksha’, a state level paper presentation competition.
