Responsibilities (Job Description):
Installation and Testing:
Installing of elevators of various types like machine room less, over head traction and Escalators.
Collecting the project files from sales dept before starting the Installation activity.
Conducting site survey in regular interval.
Manpower allocation according to performance of supervisor, foreman and technician.
Optimizing the specs according to the requirement of clients and architects.
Allocation of capital tools and tool boxes for the project.
Project planning (preparation of schedule).
Meeting client for requesting proper store place and check the elevator shaft condition before starting the project.
Preparation of scaffolding sketch.
Arranging safety items like PPE(Helmet, safety belt, safety shoes) to technician and including safety nets, fire extinguisher and safety posters for the projects.
Final checking of elevator shaft, pit, entrance before starting installation.
Arrangement for templates, procuring of installation materials required for installation.
Site coordinating with client/consultant/contractor for all work (civil, mechanical and electrical) related to elevator in order to the completion of project in given time frame.
Technical coordination with client/consultant/contractor.
Conducting tool box talk with technician regarding safety and usage of tools.
Ordering brackets (wall brackets & rail brackets), sill angle, cleats etc in ERP.
Preparation of installation activity chart.
Creation of indent, work order, purchased order in ERP.
Conducting project review meeting in office every week.
Attending site meeting with client.
Preparation of stage wise quality check sheet (rails, entrance, machine room).
Collecting necessary EWD drawings, PT drawing and material test certificates from corporate office.
Testing and commissioning.
Preparation of testing and commissioning report.
Inspecting quality of inspection
Preparation of FORM A scheme approval from electrical inspectorate for getting erection license.
Preparation of completion reports.
Preparation for FORM B running license approval from electrical inspectorate for running license.
Checking of time tickets of technician for salary processing.
Submission of RA bills to client and regular follow up for collection.
Meeting the necessary need of client by providing good quality installation (customer satisfaction).
Achieving the target yearly by completing the project in given time period.
Preparation of yearly completion and handing over target.
Regular site visit (project, technician, and client).
Joint quality inspection with maintenance team, client team before handing over the elevator to maintenance department.
Submission of project files to maintenance department.
After getting the elevator running license handing over the elevator to client with required document and getting acceptance form signed by client to start the maintenance.
