Dear hiring manager

I am applying for an internship in your construction department, so I can get experience to become an artisan.

I would like to work in an organization where I can use my qualifications in Civil Engineering. I am planning to become a general Forman in the next 5 years or less. I am excited by the chance to contribute to construction team and am prepared to engage in continuous learning. I am a self-starter, hardworking student and l learn new procedures quickly.

I believe I am the suitable candidate for the following reason. Being on this program will provide me with work experience and increase my job opportunities in the future. Although I am interested in the civil engineering environment, I currently don’t have the skills to be employed there but I am determined to do whatever it takes to be employable and succeed at my dream job. I want to be employed in this sector because I am good at working with people, working under pressure, welling to work overtime and I try to find a solution to problem until I succeed.

I am confident that my experiences in practical at school and learning skills have prepared me to be a strong internship for your construction team. This is an internship that I am willing to make sacrifices for as it can change my life. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
