To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am a family nurse practitioner student with Chamberlain University, and just graduated. I am interested in any opportunities you may be able to offer me in regards to a position in the emergency department. I graduated April 21, 2018, and passed my national certification exam May 09, 2018.
I am currently employed by CHI Baylor St Luke’s in one of their freestanding emergency rooms. Although this will be my first clinical position as an FNP, I have worked as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit and the emergency room for a total of fourteen years and as such, am confident with patient care and interaction. I purposefully set up my clinical rotations with my last being in urgent care to help make a more seamless transition into the urgent care or emergency department setting.
I strongly believe that a facility is only as strong as the team that leads it, and I enjoy working and coordinating care with others to maintain a joyous, up-beat atmosphere. It is with this combination of clinical expertise, motivation, and passion for learning that I believe I can add to your practice as well as grow as a professional.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this and for your consideration. I have attached my CV for your reference. I would be more than happy to provide you with a list of references for you to contact to assist you in ascertaining the level of my clinical competence. Please contact me by phone or email and let me know if we can work out an opportunity. Thank you.
Sincerely,
MATTHEW BRISTER
