*As a Medical Lab Technologist (Histotechnologist) assigned in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology Sections responsible in:
Receiving, registering and labeling of pathological and cytological specimens.
Gross cutting of some pathologic specimens (D&C, appendix, gall bladder, etc.).
Assisting the pathologists and taking dictations from them during gross cutting of specimens and frozen section procedures.
Processing of specimens accordingly from fixation, dehydration, clearing to impregnation by the use of a tissue processor, or manually when needed.
Embedding and trimming of paraffin blocks, and cutting of the same with the use of microtome.
Staining and mounting of slides for microscopic examination.
Performing routine H&E staining and special staining procedures like PAS, Warthin-Starry, AFB, Gram, Reticulin, Trichrome, etc.
Performing Immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining procedures.
Preparing slides from labeling, centrifugation, cell block, staining and mounting of gynecological and non-gynecological samples (FNAs and body fluids).
Preparing of reagents or solutions and stains needed for the section.
Retrieving of patient reports, slides and blocks for review.

Using Dako Artisan Link Pro and Dako Artisan for special stains.

Using Thermo Shandon Cytospin 4 for body fluids.
