WORK EXPERIENCE
2015 – 2018: I served as laboratory student assistant at the Physical Metallurgy Laboratory at the University of Johannesburg. I was in charge of co-supervising students using the laboratory. I was also in charge of assisting students using the laboratory in every aspect, assisting them with the entire knowledge of the laboratory, helping them on how to use various equipment and machinery in the laboratory and assisting them by making etchants for them to use. In addition to that I played a role in manging projects designing, developing and implementing projects for students required for their completion of the module. 2014 - 2015: I completed my Experiential Training 2 at FOSECO where I was in charge of conducting quality control testing on raw materials and factored goods and analysing them using various foundry sand testing such as sieve analysis, moisture testing, LOI, shatter index, volatile testing, friability testing, permeability testing pH sand testing, green strength and dry strength testing, measuring the alkalinity and basicity of the sand and measuring the gel time of the sand.
2014 – 2014: I completed my Experiential Training 1 at The Metal Casting Technology Station (MCTS) where I was conducting various failure analysis testing, mechanical testing, metallurgical testing of grey cast iron, SG cast iron, steel and stainless steel.
