To expedite testing, numerous Linux scripts were developed to populate testing jobs and to automate Clearcase migration. These scripts became department standard for testing environments.
Performed generic infrastructure design and development for all VOYA clients running in Omniplus 5.2 and Omniplus 5.5 401K Linux COBOL environments.
Delivered corporate-wide resolutions for all 401K clients’ IT department keeping COBOL OMNIPLUS Linux System operational across test thru production platforms.
Assisted Data Transmissions team for one year, creating, running and debugging scp, ftp and sftp linux scripts transmitting data to all VOYA clients. Coordinated and corrected NACHA files and layouts for transmission routing to CHASE Bank.
Coordinated and generated Linux Omniplus test environment for user diagnostic analysis. This task accelerated project turnaround for both waterfall and Agile environments.
Performed frontend analysis and subsequent report redesign of existing daily and monthly reports in accordance with new Patriot Act restrictions. This would greatly increase participant security.
Performed daily code reviews of IT department’s VSAM 401K COBOL modules prior to production implementation. Upon my review, modules would either move to production or go back to test regions for rewrite/update per documented code regulations.
Designed and implemented a batch VTRAN purge process freeing a tremendous amount of nightly cycle processing time corporate wide. This involved a purge and compress of VTRAN master files to roll off extraneous/outdated fileheaders. User research time was minimized and streamlined following purge.
Project leaders requested my services in an internal consultant capacity to resolve miscellaneous issues causing processing roadblocks. Required to analyze and quickly generate needed enhancements to meet approaching deadlines, where client teams might have missed production deadlline.
Manipulate OMNIPLUS 5.2 and 5.5 backup and restore job capabilities to select data by user-entered codes set in participant UDF area(s). This allowed client to transfer participants from plan to plan essentially purging/selecting records not required in newly generated plans. Essentially achieving a plan to plan transfer.
Redesigned and implemented backend system for Web frontend, reducing system response time enormously. This took place in newly generated data packets between OMNI frontend and beginning of cycle process.
Designed and implemented Corporate audit subsystem monitoring and reporting unusual participant activities thru Confirm subsystem. This would adhere to government dictated security.
