SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Created charter for first Operations Bridge team which integrated teams responsible for mainframe console operations, network monitoring, first level support, and batch scheduling for multiple platforms.

Partnered with payroll department and external vendors to define printing/finishing requirements for new print hardware to support transition of financial application to Oracle EBS.

Worked with vendor to install, test and implement new MICR capable print hardware. This initiative saved several thousand dollars a month on check/advice of deposit forms cost.

Justified the purchase and installation of a 2-Megawatt generator to provide power redundancy for a 30K square foot enterprise Data Center. This initiative prevented a Data Center outage which could have severely impacted store operations.

Managed external vendors and facilities to add supplemental cooling to a legacy Data Center. This initiative extended the life of the Data Center until a new one could be constructed. • Played a key role in the migration of a new Tier III Enterprise Data Center facility by creating IT Operations process workflows, standards and instructions; defined resource requirements and created staffing model along with framing out key job descriptions for to-be hired positions.

• Conducted on-going operational analysis to ensure maximum effectiveness was achieved and documentation was available and accurate.

• Managed the administration of the Data Center space provisioning tool and analysis and measured all services using tools provided.

• Worked cross-functionally with Facilities and IT Management to ensure integration of both departments, including maintaining 99.88 percent availability in a Tier II Data Center.

• Managed expenses in three cost centers totaling approximate 2.5 million, while controlling the business costs. Negotiated with vendors a reduction in print consumables saving $25,000.

• Recruited hired and trained IT Operations Team Members, motivating performance and coaching all on individual professional development goals to achieve optimal efficiency and productivity. Conducted performance appraisals, and disciplinary documentation as needed.

• Lead planning activities for the operational requirements needed to migrate Data Centers to new facilities; hired technical writer to document and project manager to coordinate.
