Description
Nationwide’s Next generation Banking App was built to be responsive, so that it can be used in any mobile device, either mobile phones, tablets or phablets. This is an upgraded version of Nationwide’s Mobile Banking app. It had few new features, that mobile banking in general do not support and gives users a better look and feel. The mobile app was decommissioned before Next Generation banking app was live. Few new features include,
Statements for about 1000 transactions.
Updates to Personal greetings and Email address.
Savings goal.
Opening of new products such as credit card, savings accounts, current accounts and mortgages, view pending transactions.
Responsibilities
Accountable for developing responsive hybrid mobile banking app for Nationwide.
Product Design using WCF or web services.
Applying Sencha Touch/EXT JS 5 for Front End UI and C# for REST part of the application.
Implemented custom plugins to achieve native functionality into application.
Involved in design discussions, on how the app should responds when interacted with different systems or services.

Nationwide’s Mobile Banking App makes managing customer’s money on the move easy. It is exclusively available to our Internet Banking customers, who can register and login through our Mobile Banking App using the existing Internet Banking details. The features include,

Transferring funds between Nationwide accounts,
View and cancel payment or direct debits.

The Nationwide Homebuyer’s Companion is a mobile app for Android and iPhone users which provides advice, tips and tools to help customers understand the process of moving home. This app tailors information to the individual’s needs based on whether the customer is selling or buying the asset. Few of the features include,
Tailored content for buying, buying & selling or first time buyers.
Step by step guides to help customers through process, find out how much they can borrow, etc.
Responsibilities
Designed & Implemented UI for many different screens including layout and styling.

●Conference paper published on Energy Efficient Resource Management in Cloud Computing using CloudSim simulation tool. Designed and Developed Matchmaking algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization based Energy Aware Resource Allocation(PSOEAR) mechanism for allocating user request to Cloud Resources in a near optimal manner. The proposed work was simulated and the result has been analyzed in Simulation based Cloud Environment.

●Have been to India to train offshore team about the work and technologies we use in our project while I was working in the UK.
