American Board of Internal Medicine – Updated the vintage revenue model that I built for ABIM in 2010. Changed parameters and validated the new model data.
GCF Bank – Bank was in the process of being acquired. Helped write their annual report and proxy statement, trouble shot finance, accountings, and payroll issues. Reported to the CEO.
Robert Half - Senior Financial Consultant, four engagements
oDrexel University – Just completed a consulting engagement with Drexel University. As the Acting Director of the One Center, I managed four direct reports. I built a parking revenue model that highlighted the benefit of adding a gate at their main garage that enabled the calculation of the payback period. Drafted a proposal to change the payment method for paying the vendor for catering services from a P-card held by the vendor to a more secure Single Use Account Card. It was implemented. Automated some of their monthly reporting and built a check sheet that automatically compared pages that had like data. Interacted with colleagues and vendors and resolved financial issues around student housing, food services, the bookstore, conferences and event planning.
o Jefferson University – Consulted at Jefferson University and Jefferson University Hospital on developing their 2017 projection and 2018 business plan. Particular areas of emphasis are their benefits expense related to merger activity as well as the allocation of corporate overhead expense in the new enterprise configuration.
oLenox China – Acting Director of FP&A reporting to CFO. Managed two financial analysts. Responsible for the monthly financial reporting and analysis. Performed ad hoc projects to support the CFO and Sales management. Evaluated merger partners. Systems used: Hyperion, Oracle and JD Edwards.
oPandrol USA – Assisted the new CFO build the 2016 Budget. Compiled a productivity model for Pandrol USA, a manufacturer of railroad fasteners. This model provided management with tools to forecast resource needs including labor, raw material, and machinery allocation to the various types of products they manufactured. All of which were requirements for the pricing model.
Michael Page International – Senior Financial Consultant
oPet360 – Subsidiary of Pet Smart. Functioned as the Director of FP&A. During a consulting engagement with Pet360 I developed several models to support their pricing, inventory, and costing strategies for the 2017 Plan. These included a break-even model, a product margin analysis tool, a lead generation model for their on-line auto ship business, and an order frequency vintage model. Also analyzed the cost and value of exiting certain business lines.
