VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Nhechs Lead Council: T his organization at my school allowed students to help their community. There were 12 members, including myself, where we worked with homeless youth at the Covenant House. The CHENIERE COMPANY granted our group a $20,000 grant to help the homeless. These funds were used to renovate the living quarters for the youth.
Junior Achievement: This is an organization where I go into the classroom and teach Kindergarten how to be successful in the global economy. I teach them things like: how to make a choice, what is money, how can you save money, etc.
Chosen Generation Choir: W indsor Village United Methodist Church: I have served my youth church choir at Windsor Village UMC since 2011. We are apart of many church activities such as the New Year's Eve Worship Experience, Resurrection Sunday, Black History Month, Back to School Bash, and Street church where we give back to the homeless.
Top Teens of America: Accumulated over 800 volunteer hours by participating in the UNCF Walk, School Supply Drives, Food Pantry Drives, Houston Food Bank, Houston Food Truck, Senior Citizen Luncheon, Grandparent’s Day, Santa At the Ensemble, Sickle Cell Walk, Sickle Cell Education Day, March of Dimes – March for Babies, Sister’s Network Walk and Sheriff’s Department National Night Out Preparation event and supported the following committees, Senior Citizen, Beautification, Status of Women and Community Partnerships.
