Architect and managed a 7-10 member software team through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of SureTrak/STING. The SureTrak/STING software is a fully integrated, multi-sensor, data acquisition and display system used to perform airspace surveillance, waterway clearance, shoreline surveillance, and environmental monitoring functions used by the U.S. Navy, NASA, Delaware State Police and several countries in Africa. It is a client/server architecture built with C/C++, Java, JSF, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, PostgreSQL, and CouchDB.

Lead the software team though many spiral iterations of development using both PMBOK and Agile methodologies to complete projects on time, within budget and fully tested. Designed and implemented a browser based version of SureTrak/STING using JavaScript, HTML 5 and CSS3 to act as a Common Operating Picture (COP).

Assisted in the designed and implemented of the Total Management System (TMS) application. TMS allows users to create, manage, report and track programs and projects from beginning to end via a web-based interface built with HTML5, CSS3, Java Server Faces (JSF), jQuery, JavaScript and PrimeFaces technologies.

Software Engineer

Architected and implemented Paint the Night (PTN). PTN is sensor simulation software using high graphics rendering and operating on DMSO’s High Level Architecture (HLA) Run-Time Infrastructure (RTI) for the communications architecture.

Designed and developed an automation process that uses TCL to parse a HLA fed file and generate multiple files consisting of thousands of lines of C++ code. This code is a wrapper that makes the process of creating RTI federates simpler.

Designed and developed an automation client/server process for running multiple federates on different computers from one central computer. This also consisted of building many different GUIs that were originally done in X-Motif and then re-implemented in ITCL/ITK.

Designed and developed a data logger federate for the simulations utilizing the Actual Ground Truth (AGT) format for vehicle recognition scoring.

Designed and developed the simulations for the Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) and the Multi-Function Sensor Suite System using PTN.

Architected and implemented the software and hardware for the Mine Hunter/Killer Simulation that used Virtual Reality (VR) software to simulate an unmanned vehicle being driven around a battlefield detecting anti-tank mines and then deploying munitions to detonate the mines.
