I am proficient with multiple programming languages such as PHP, Javascript, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS3, and Mysql.

I have extensive experience with managing servers with both the WHM/Cpanel and Plesk control panels. This includes using SSH to accomplish tasks through the Linux Command Line.

I have very strong Wordpress knowledge and experience including building custom themes, programming functionality, advanced custom fields, creating plugins, fixing current plugins to work with more modern versions of Wordpress, and transferring Wordpress sites from one server to another whether doing it manually or with a plugin. I have experience with Joomla CMS and adding functionality to modules/plugins for the Joomla CMS.

I have extensive experience setting up imap, pop3, and exchange email accounts on desktop computers, laptops, macs (including mac mail), and mobile devices both ios and android.

I have both front-end and back-end development experience.

I have extensive web server and email server administration experience. This includes, adding, deleting, and suspending accounts. It also includes managing the mail queue and controlling spam to keep from being blacklisted by spam filters. In the event that a server is blacklisted, I have experience getting it delisted. I also have extensive experience administrating a 3rd party spam filter used to filter the spam for all incoming mail accounts.

I have extensive experience with managing and maintaining DNS settings including MX records for email and spam filter settings as well as more extensive DNS settings for setting up sub-domains, Office 365, etc.

I have extensive experience with troubleshooting coding issues and fixing coding issues. This includes but is not limited to having to convert old PHP code to work with modern versions of PHP.

I can effectively use object oriented programming techniques.

Server Admin and Web Hosting Support, Sharp Innovations

My main responsibilities in this job were to be the direct tech support contact for clients for issues with their website and email. It required me to write code, transfer sites, fix email issues, administrate both web and email servers, and work along with the design and programming team to get things done for clients.

During my time in this position I have fixed hundreds of email issues on multiple devices. After acquiring another company with a very old flash based cms, I was able to use PHP to effectively fix things that were broken as well as to write from scratch a file uploader that would communicate correctly with the database so the files could be chosen directly from within the cms after they were uploaded. I designed and deployed a minimalistic wysiwyg editor on a static site that had several updates that needed to be copied and pasted from Microsoft word. By implementing the wysiwyg editor, it is estimated that I saved myself 1 to 2 hours every month while doing their monthly updates. I designed and programmed a light weight replacement cms to replace the flash cms that many sites were on from a company that was acquired.

03/2015 – 03/2016

Internet Business Development, Savage Kia

During my time with this company, it was my responsibility to manage an extensive CRM and to distribute leads that came in from the website to the sales personnel. I would often times make first contact and set appointments for the sales personnel. I worked with a custom backend administration panel to do tasks such as add, delete, or edit personnel information on the website. I also worked directly with a marketing company to help manage the PPC marketing.

During my time in this position, I was able to raise the amount of sales that came from the internet. I was also able to work with a 3rd party marketing company to transform a broken PPC campaign into an effective one that garnered a much higher return on investment. I also worked with this same company to effectively change content to help with SEO to make sure the major search engines would focus on keywords that matched specific to the type of industry but also the location of the business.

Communication

My communication skills were learned when I served in the United States Army. I have been able to effectively use those same skills in the civilian sector. I often times have to communicate with a project manager and/or different teams within the business to help get tasks that need to be done for clients scheduled. I need to also make sure to follow up on these requests and keep the client informed as to its progress.

Leadership

My leadership skills were forged on the battle field, literally. I served in leadership positions in the United States Army where I earned the rank of sergeant and served in squad leader and other leadership roles.
