To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to recommend Shovan Ortiz for the available position as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have worked closely with Shovan throughout her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse and most recently as an advanced practice student. She maintains professionalism in all areas, she is compassionate, driven, and very reliable. Shovan takes time to listen to the patient and make them feel genuinely heard and understood when considering the most appropriate treatment plan.
I would be honored to work alongside Shovan as fellow Providers in the future.
Sincerely,
Jacquelin Crader RN, MSN, FNP-C
I have been working with Shovan Ortiz since March 2017 as her capacity as a Labor and Delivery nurse. I also was her preceptor for her Women’s Health rotation as an NP student from September to November 2017.
During her rotation with me, she was exposed to a variety of obstetric and gynecologic conditions. She did additional research and reporting on a patient with pelvic organ prolapse and pessary fitting, a patient with heavy menses and pelvic pain, and a patient with pelvic pain of unknown etiology.
She has been completely reliable in discharging her responsibilities in both capacities and has consistently displaced excellent clinical judgment. She is well liked by patients and regarded positively by colleagues. She remains calm and appropriately responds to obstetric emergencies and she has the ability to identify and treat a wide range of obstetric conditions.
Her departure will be a loss to our department and I would be pleased to work with her again if the opportunity arose in the future.
