The MF project has data spanning across different source systems that needs to be conformed based on a master data set, in-order to obtain a single platform to lookup on for different business processes across Fannie Mae. The tables populated as part of this program is used by the downstream applications to get details of each source system for reporting purposes.

The TSMF project assignment adapts agile methodology and aims in a faster completion of integration which also includes Production support. Bhagya got assigned to this program shortly after the work got started and has scaled up to full speed and is currently involved in design\development activities in parallel tracks across the DW and DM projects.

Her work has helped in building confidence in the partnership between Fannie.

This project involved data extraction from various existing data storage places such as SQL Server and Flat files which was populated Teradata tables. These tables are further used for generating reports.

Bhagya led the track and ensured the perfect design was laid out for extracting data from multiple data storage places with different data storage formats and loading to a single platform. She initiated needed discussion with the client and onshore counterpart which aided in through understanding of the system and the integration requirements.

Her precise analysis skills ensured all functionality was met and also a performance oriented code was delivered for the high-volume systems. UNIX shell scripting to handlefile transfer across servers was designed to cover not only the requirements but also to handle any failure with network\FTS failures.

Client: JC Penney

ETL Team Lead

Bhagya was involved in different tracks under JC Penney Project. She was responsible in development of the code in loading the customer email related information from the CDB system to the MDM environment. The email details along with the email quality and email preference information were loaded using a single mapping that loads 21 target tables. Extra control logics and parallel session load were implemented in order to ensure best performance for the code developed.

Bhagya was involved in all phases which include understanding requirement, design, code development, testing, and documentation and production support activities. She was very effective in the coordination between onsite and offshore team which consisted of 10 members. She played a key lead role in the project in exploring and successfully implementing XML definitions as target for Informatica code. Reporting 4B

The project objective is data population to Teradata tables which aids in report generation in JC Penney business environment. From the customer information database, the count of customer and customer related entities based on the different business requirements are calculated and populated on to the fact tables.

The data load for 4B reporting involved calculations at some complex level and load data to the reporting tables, so that further calculation could be avoided before generating the reports. The data from DB2 source tables were fetched and calculations were performed on the data for customer related entities and count and were populated to the intermediate tables, from where the data was populated to Teradata target tables.

Use and Kill

The objective of the project is to identify promotions and discount coupons applied to the J.C. Penney products. Based on the source information from the DB2 systems, details regarding used coupons and the discounted amount for every item were separately captured in Teradata tables.

Extracting data from driving table and promotion related information had to be looked up from a different server in DB2. The data is taken to the staging area where the calculations based on the data fetched are performed and data is finally loaded to the Teradata.

Subscriber load

The objective of the project is to identify and select all existing subscriber emails (emails which are registered via internet) and their applicable preferences present within the subscriber DB and load them to integrated database. This objective is referred to as the Subscriber Initial Load. The second objective is to redirect only to CDI any new and/or subsequent subscriber emails and their applicable preferences received through the existing online and batch processes once the subscriber initial load is complete. This objective is referred to as the Subscriber Deltas. The subscriber data is read, ordered and transformed to xml information and fed to MDM through TIBCO services.

Customer Data Integration (CDI) Phase 1A, B, C

The Customer Data Integration (CDI) Phase 1 aims in developing a centralized system to store the complete contact information of customers of J.C. Penney Corporation Inc. Customer data available in the existing multiple source systems is brought over an integrated Database which will provide a centralized view of the customers of J.C. Penney.
