Lifeguard
Performs duties under the direction of the Aquatics Supervisor, ensuring the safety of patrons of the Core aquatic facility and preventing and responding to emergencies.
Provide a safe & friendly atmosphere for park district resident & their guests.
Gain knowledge and understanding of park district policies and procedures and see that they are adhered to
Oversee the safe and proper operation of assigned pool facility; ensure that all facility rules and safety guidelines are followed; report breaches of rules, as necessary.
Report any hazardous situations immediately to the appropriate staff.
Maintain a safe pool environment, be alert for potential emergency situations, and check patrons for conditions that may endanger others
Know and use emergency procedures, equipment, and emergency action plan when necessary
