DESIGN ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Led Senior Design team to 4th place of 27 teams with 5,500 MPG (equivalent) in the 2017 Shell Eco-Marathon

• Designed and manufactured a 1-person, manned, battery-electric vehicle

• Used physical prototypes and SolidWorks Simulations to design and optimize vehicle for weight and strength

• Gained experience with full product cycles from prototype development to production, testing, validation

• Personally designed and manufactured the drop-outs and rear brake system to withstand high stresses

• $250 budget, 50lb max weight with size restrictions; completed the 1/4 mile inclined track in under 2 minutes

• Designed and built a droplet-impact photography device in mechanical engineering independent study

• Led Freshman Projects group designing and building an engineering module for children which demonstrates the energy consumption of incandescent and fluorescent bulbs by powering each with a crank
