Project Superintendent / Manager-in-Charge

Manage and direct all aspects of project coordination for company specializing in construction of Healthcare Facilities. Supervise all field office staff, on-site personnel, all sub-contractors and direct forces. Provided daily CMP schedules, ensured compliance with specifications, drawings and Budget. Coordination with owner on a daily basis along with architect, engineers, vendors and owner staffs. Responsible for quality assurance, safety, budget, and personnel issues on a daily basis.

Accomplishment:

8TH floor addition of 39 private patient room addition at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans,La. The value

of this project is $4.5 million dollars. Duration is 8 months. Project was completed on time on 1/28/00.

Completed Skilled Nursing Facility in New Orleans for Catholic Group – Our Lady of Wisdom - 20m+

Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facility for Touro Infirmary in New Orleans,La. (Woldenburg Village) – 175,000square feet,multi-story/120 bed facility. Project started 4/00 and completed January 2002. Value costs – 26m+

HBE CORPORATION, INC. 1997 to 1999

Multi-million dollar design-build firm involved in building hospitals, credit unions and hotels for the Adam’s Mark Hotel chain.

General Superintendent

Managed and directed all aspects of project coordination for the construction of the Adam’s Mark Hotel Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. This project was 3 stories consisting of 2 ballrooms, pre-convene areas, full major kitchen for each ballroom (1st and 2nd floors) plus a concrete parking garage for 450 cars. Each floor had 100,000 sq. ft. This project was built in 12 months. Cost of this project was $45 million dollars. As a design-build contractor, I had to interface with architects, engineers, city officials, and the owner. HBE Corp. had all parties in-house except for city officals.

• This project was from the ground up and was a very difficult and complex .

• During construction I coordinated 6 supt.’s/asst. supt.’s, and 350-400 people per day on an average day.

• One of the main features of this project was that the Grand Ballroom on the 2nd floor had the honor of being the largest in the State of Texas at 41,000 sq. ft.

• Implementing and enforcing all safety requirements of all personnel on this project. This also included the coordination with the traffic around the project, which was a major logistics undertaking and very complex.
