Investigation and Analysis of Water Stress in Almonds Using UAV Data
CSU Fresno and AeroVironment (AV) collaboratively propose to investigate the use of UAV imagery to detect water stress in almond trees.
The ultimate goal is to test what type of imagery output would allow almond producers to make better decisions regarding water management of their Almond Orchard.
Design and Fabrication of Horizontal Type Reciprocating Fatigue Testing Machine
The project primarily aims at developing a new design for an easy-to-use, inexpensive and highly efficient fatigue testing machine that uses the principle of reciprocating motion to cause cyclic loading in the specimen causing fatigue failure in order to determine its fatigue strength and endurance limit, and to plot its S-N curve.
Solar Desalination Setup
The project is aimed at designing a prototype that can effectively exploit energy from sun to obtain potable water from saline sea water and to to determine the overall heat transfer coefficient of the reflective sheet.
