JobProfile:

Purpose of Job:

As Product Manager, demonstrates excellent knowledge and practice in marketing, and fully exploits the full market potential of Pharmaceutical products in Zambia.

To manage and market the company’s entire product range (Cardio, Diabetic, Respiratory, Ortho, Ophthalmol, Arv’s, Surgical) through the developing, planning, implementing, measuring and being accountable for brand plans which optimize profitability, market share and revenue growth in the short and long term.

Develop marketing strategies, plans, and tactics together with all other necessary elements

and effectively communicate these to the sales teams in order to ensure proper implementation thereof to our customers.

Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Deliverables:

To effectively communicate/design communication material for product benefits to all the relevant stakeholders in the value chain.

To prepare and present marketing business plan (brand plans) per promoted product on monthly and annual basis.

To provide strategic product direction & to create and execute product tactical plans aligned with strategy within specified time frames via the sales force and to measure quantitatively and qualitatively thereafter.

Maintain key customer and opinion leader contact to maximize pharmaceutical product performance in the respective fields and support current and future objectives.

To maintain and improve product knowledge of the sales force and sales managers and to

continually update knowledge on the product, competitors and therapeutic area.

To achieve targets for sales, grow market share, profit contribution and market penetration for all assigned products (i.e. entire products).

To monitor budgets for and control allocated promotional expenditure for the products.

Ensure pricing for products within my area of responsibility receive the prior authorization of the product from the management before being extended to the customers.

Planning and implementation of product launches, including HCP education, promotions, stocking and functioning.

Responsible for overseeing market surveys /research and sales trends reviews while effectively utilizing available tools ( Sales reports, competitor entry, etc.) to identify customer buying patterns, sales performance and market dynamics.

Regular fieldwork with representatives, monitoring marketing plans (brand plans), identifying opportunities and gaining market intelligence.

Manage third party relations with relevant companies where our products have been out.

Experience:

Working as Senior Marketing Manager in Salama Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania from 12th July 2017 to till date.

Pharmaceutical Product Development Manager at Prime Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Kitwe, Zambia from September 2011 to June 2017.

Marketing Executive at Lupin Ltd – Mind Vision at Coimbatore Division from August 2010 to September 2011.

Research Associate in Analytical Department in Roxaane Research Private Ltd, Chennai from July 2009 to August 2010.

Qualification:

Marketing qualification, totally 9 years experience in Pharmaceutical marketing.

2 year Pharmaceutical sales and 6+ year Pharmaceutical Marketing experience.

Handling multiple brands across Cardio, Diabetic, Respiratory, Ortho, Ophthalmol, Arv’s and Surgical areas.

Educational Qualification:

M.B.A. (MARKETING MANAGEMENT) - Bharathiar University Coimbatore (year of passing 2010).

M. Sc., (BIOTECHNOLOGY) - Anna University, KSR College of Technology Tiruchengode (year of passing 2009).

B.Sc., (MICROBIOLOGY) - Bharathiar University, SNMV College of Arts and Science Coimbatore (year of passing 2007).

PGDCA (COMPUTER APPLICATION) - Annamalai University (year of passing 2008).

PGDNBT (NANO BIOTECHNOLOGY) - Life Science Foundation of India Karnataka (year of passing 2010).
