DEVELOPMENT OF A USB DRIVER FOR AN OPEN DIGITAL TELEVISION COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM IN GNU / LINUX

Abstract.-.

A mobile TDA device capable of connecting to a computer via USB is a bridge that unites two technologies focused on information, using a free operating system such as GNU / Linux could access the content of the TDA through the computer for free and without restrictions, currently the foundation CENDIT has developed a mobile device of TDA that through a proprietary software it is possible to visualize the multimedia content of the TDA under the Windows 7 operating system using the VLC multimedia playback program.

The objective of this project is to develop a USB control routine for the TDA mobile device under the GNU / Linux operating system capable of performing control functions on the device,obtaining via the USB bus of the multimedia content and reproduction using the program of multimedia reproduction VLC which is a free program.

Evaluation: 19 points.
