RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
University of Puerto Rico. Developmental Neurobiology Laboratory
Jan.2011-May 2012
Selected sea cucumbers (Holothuria glaberrima) from their natural habitats and
transferred to the artificial in the laboratory, from which transcriptomics,
bioinformatics & statistical expression models were applied as their
gastrointestinal system regenerated. The main focus was to find insights on
regenerative neurogenesis.
Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. Bioengineering Laboratory
Aug. 2016-Dec 2017
Studied the effect of Carbon-Base Graphene Quantum Dots (GQD's) in Vivo
and in Vitro, nanotechnology was met with bioengineering applying fluorescent
imaging in zebrafish and mice. Affinity towards certain organs and tissues
combined with low cytotoxicity makes a promising solution to harmful radiation
imaging.
