In order to find a suitable career I joined the Gold Mining Industry in 2010. In this 8 year period I qualified as a Blasting Miner as well as obtained qualification to do surface blasting as a miner. These are legal and mandatory qualifications recognized by the mining qualification authority and the minister of mining. In addition I have studied the process of seismic activity as its effect on mining activity. Further to this I have recently acquired the Safety health and environment qualification from NOSA (NQF LEVEL 5) which allows me to manage SHE both within mining and other industries. This proves that I am eager to learn and better my knowledge and skill set. During the period above my major roles have been to ensure that rock is broken in a safe way and delivered to the processes that are necessary. Thus I have both led and supervised groups of miners with different skill sets. I have had to lead, train, manage and discipline. These miners are adults and by discipline one had to acknowledge both positive and negative discipline. I have done and understand the codes policies and processes of discipline.
