•Operated, patched, and maintained over 1,000 Windows and Linux servers, supporting over 15 million VOD streams per week at a 98.5% success rate, nationally. Troubleshot layer 1 issues and investigated and corrected numerous in-band and out-of-band connections (ASYNC) and ethernet cabling and provisioning issues. Worked with various groups to update connections in multiple inventory systems. Familiar with the Verizon network infrastructure.

•Decommissioned, configured and turned up new Linux, Windows and VMWare equipment during safetime hours as needed. Tested, verified connectivity and operation on all equipment before handing over to the Tier 1 team.

•Acted as team lead, scheduling maintenance, upgrades, and on-call for outages and shift coverage / overtime as needed (Network Operations Center for VOD) with 0% personnel shift non-coverage for Tier1/Tier2 VOD support.

•Analyzed system enhancement compatibility, and interfaced daily with third-party entities, such as Cisco (VDS-TV) and Ericsson (OpenStream) to maintain VOD success rates and equipment readiness, provided software bug diagnoses, analyzed Linux logs and resolved outages to ensure minimal downtime.

•Designed and implemented in-house applications to monitor and adjust system alarming to supplement utilization of SolarWinds and SiteScope.

•Project managed, developed and trained a process to manage shortfalls in Verizon's set-top box logistics program, resulting in approximately 5.5 million in recouped revenue per year. This process is still in use today by Verizon and Frontier.

•Maintained Verizon internal billing and provisioning applications with broadcast and Video on Demand (VOD) (iVapp, COFEE, SSP, BAAIS, programming changes, etc.) with end-to-end diagnostics and troubleshooting with various DEV teams (order, billing, provisioning, install, back to billing).

•Conducted internal IT cost-savings assessments and administered hardware upgrades across the footprint, resulting in a savings of over $100,000 from vender quote.

•Created technical documentation and standard operating procedures for day-to-day use in server troubleshooting, Cisco database operation, system failovers, and Linux server command and upgrades.

•Worked in Service Fulfillment, correcting 1000's of fallout orders for Voice, Data and Video with programs including SOAC, MARCH, iVapp, BAAIS, SSP, etc.
