-During the years of my master program, I worked part time at the family restaurant. I did not just work as a waitress but I was able to pick up the knowledge about cooking and also management. Therefore, when the owners decided to retire in June 2015, I had a great confidence that I would be able to manage the family business and the business has been able to maintain the quality of food and service since the day it was established in 1985.

January-May 2007: Internship at Veteran Hospital in Long Beach

-Within the short time during the internship, I was able to observe the billing department of Long Beach VA hospital and I collected the data from billing department to do my thesis for the master program. My thesis was about how to determine the accuracy of billing system. After presenting the thesis, the billing department was able to improve the quality of billing system for the hospital.

September-February 2000: InterThai Pharmaceutical Company, Bangkok Thailand

-Manufacturing within the field of pharmaceuticals is one of the subjects that I studied while at the University. I learned how different processes can radically alter the quality and effectiveness of medications and what procedures a company must initiate to produce consistency in quality. At InterThai Pharmaceutical I learned to expand what was taught to me in the classroom and apply it in a real world production setting. This company produces many classes and categories of medicines that are used throughout Asia. Therefore, I had a unique opportunity to study the production of medicines at an industrial level with a thorough understanding as to how it would affect the customer at the user end. I was also able to witness the business and marketing arm of a for-profit pharmaceutical company and learn what it takes to bring a product to market.
