Designed a subnet calculator in Python.

• The calculator validates entered IP address and Subnet Mask, which are provided as input on command line. Once Validated the application fetches its network address, broadcast address, no. of hosts per subnet and its wildcard mask.

Switching Configuration and Troubleshooting

• Set up a network of hosts and Cisco switches. Used port-security to control access to the network. Configured VLANs and achieved inter-VLAN communication using Router-on-a-stick configuration. Configured and verified operation of STP, RSTP and VTP on switches. Also set up an Ether-channel. Configured and studied working of Portfast and BPDU-Guard. Packet Filtering with Iptables

• Implemented firewall with iptables, which is set to default chain policy of deny and it accepts the specified iptable rules mentioned in the script.

• Rules are written in the script and script is made executable through chmod command. Once the script is run, all the rules mentioned in script are implemented and applied to the firewall. Wireless Network Hacking and Penetration Testing.

• Executed penetration testing in an authorized wireless network and identify how strong the network is being protected from vulnerabilities.

• Using Raspberry Pi to create Fake Access Point and attract people to connect to open network and hack into their devices using different tools.

• Technology Used: Kali Linux, VMware Fusion, Evil Twin, Brute Force attack, Rainbow attack Performance Evaluation of Network Virtualization in Cloud Computing Data Center.

• In this project, we designed a Data Center Network (DCN) and practiced virtualization in networking through Open vSwitch (OVS) and implemented VLAN’s using OVS. OVS provides required virtualization by creating a Virtual instance of a switch and multiple hosts can be attached to the switch.
