Lean Expert, 2005-2007
Trained Six Sigma Greenbelt and Lean Greenbelt candidates and mentored them through certification. Implemented a Kanban system reducing plant inventory by 100k and reduced lead time from 4 days to 1.5 days. Implemented utility savings projects in lighting, compressed air, startup/shutdown procedures, and natural gas that totaled 50k in savings each year. Implemented an oil recycling project for the site that saved 76K a year in spend on oil. Trained employees and Implemented 5S throughout the site. Developed Value Stream Map for site and led Kaizen events for continuous improvement. Implemented numerous defect reduction projects on non-conforming material for the site to lower PPM rates. Achieved Lean Expert Certification.
