WORK EXPERIENCE

Embedded Applications Engineer, Ingenu, San Diego, CA Jan 2017- Present

–Successfully supported multiple customers simultaneously in developing their IOT products using Ingenu’s RPMA technology.

–Developed embedded system applications using C, GCC tool chain, Eclipse IDE, STM32 workbench, JTAG or SWD debugger.

a.Smart street light controller:

i.Developed a controller for a relay switch by integrating STM32 microcontroller and RPMA radio module.

ii.The radio module was interfaced using SPI and the relay module was controlled by UART interface.

b.Battery operated object tracking system:

i.Developed drivers for parsing Ublox binary protocol and NMEA protocol to get location coordinates.

ii.Integrated an I2C interface accelerometer to detect object’s movement and report the current location periodically.

c.Ultrasonic parking meter solution:

i.Developed drives for ultrasonic sensor using low power timer and interrupts to generate an alarm for car detection.

d.Soil moisture detection:

i.Interfaced a 16-bit ADC on the Freescale K20 microcontroller to digitize the analog voltage output of the moisture sensor.

e.Temperature and humidity monitor

i.Developed drivers for DHT22 sensor that works on the 1-wire interface protocol.

–Experience with Python scripting for data analysis, developing head-end parsers for various sensors using AMQP and REST API.

–Ability to review hardware schematics or PCB layouts and debug potential design issues.

–Test and fix code, write reports, and developed training manuals/documents for the customers.

Graduate Researcher, VLSI Design and Test Lab, San Diego State University, CA Jan 2015- Dec 2016

–Research experience in digital communication, digital signal processing and Modem design.

–Designed efficient digital circuits in Verilog & implemented the polyphase energy detection-based spectrum sensing on FPGA.

–ASIC implementation was done on Synopsys DC with chip layout development on Cadence Encounter.

Embedded Systems Intern, Proximetry, San Diego, CA Jun 2015-Aug 2015

–Configured IOT enabled Atmel devices SAM W25, D21, 4S and registered them on the AWS cloud using Atmel studio.

–Developed python based GUI to track IOT devices registered on cloud server and display their statistics using REST API.

–Port the middleware agent-code on Raspberry pi to register it on AWS cloud and transmit statistics to cloud server.
