Application Developer

Performed development, testing, maintenance and support for:

DataSolutions is a VB.Net application used across the company for tracking individual provider information, hospital and facility contract rates, affiliations and client information.

DataFiles is an application, initially written in VBA for Microsoft Access and converted to a VB.Net application which creates text files of provider information from HFN network data for clients who subscribe to the service. Data is retrieved from the provider information in the DataSolutions SQL Server database. After creation, files are placed on the HFN ftp server for pickup by the client or are moved to the client’s ftp server. In addition, the application sends an email to each client notifying them that their file(s) are ready for downloading..

Maintained and enhanced the corporate Intranet and Website applications.

Created Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures for database access to enhance performance and security.

Created a complete reporting module in Crystal Reports and integrated it into the DataSolutions application. The reporting module consists of more than thirty reports of various types.

Created and deployed the Nominations database and application. Successfully integrated it into the DataSolutions application. This application tracks providers who are nominated for admittance to the HFN network.

Roll Level Inventory (RLI) Developer

Developed, tested, maintained and supported the Roll Level Inventory (RLI) application which was written in PowerBuilder 6.5 and later in PowerBuilder 9.0. The application tracked the inventory of paper rolls at the thirty two R. R. Donnelley printing plants nationwide.

Created and deployed Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures.

Designed and implemented upgrades to RLI to reduce the number of Help Desk tickets by 25% in one year.

Added code to the RLI application to support new hardware being used in the printing plants.

Participated in the development of web applications for the MFG website.

Managed the Help Desk queue and resolved 900+ Help Desk tickets in one year.

Maintained the Visual C++ software used by the warehouse scanners in the printing plants.
