PROFILE

Physician Assistant, Certified for fourteen years. Graduated from the University of Kentucky Physician Assistant Program in 2003 with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Worked 2 years at a rural ED in central/ eastern Kentucky followed by 4 & 1/2 years at Saint Joseph Hospital ED in Lexington KY & 3 years in a Winchester KY ED After spending time off related to a lower extremity injury, began working full-time in a Cardiology practice in Lexington KY in April 2014 for sixteen months & previous to James Borders, MD leaving practice with his brother at Drs. Borders & Associates, began working full-time in that Internal Medicine practice in July of 2015. EXPERIENCE

Borders Hood and Associates from July of 2015 until a series of lay-offs in late May of 2017 and practice change over to the concierge medical model. PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT, SAINT JOSEPH HOSPITAL, SEPT 05-DEC 09 PRN physician assistant working at Saint Joseph Hospital ED from September 2005 until December 2005 when I became Full-Time. High-acuity, high-volume 35 bed ED. Job description similar to above, but at a larger tertiary care facility. The average patient under my care at this facility was greater than 80 years old and exceptionally ill. Patient load carried was usually 7-8 acutely ill patients at any given time. I started with Keightley and Parsley, PSC and they were bought out by Team Health in March 2006.
