Real-Time Operation Center Management

•Successfully completed building a new Real-Time operation center to remotely support Dynamic Drilling Optimization and Automation projects worldwide.

•Managed a group of 20+ drilling experts to provide technical expert advice and assistance using State-of-The-Art Advanced Real Time analytical, visualization tools and applications.

•Developed a Competency Management System “CMS” with development/ training plan for each individual at the Real-Time Center. It helped reduce attrition rate from 60 to only 10%.

•The CMS included assessor training/ workshops, policy, process and guidelines, Identification and training of SMEs and assessors, competency units development, assessment of candidates, job roles, task analysis, knowledge and standards and the implementation of a Competency Management model. The competency units were written for each position and three different levels. Based on the on this model, a gap analysis was performed and training and work experience needs were identified and a specific Gap Plan was created for each individual

•Supported first automated projects using high-speed wire pipe, downhole WOB closed loop system plus advanced real time data analytics and apps setting new performance records.

•Achieved recognition as a SME, certified instructor and delivered training courses on different drilling subjects.

•Wrote technical papers for industry events on specialized topics on drilling optimization and use of new technologies to optimize performance and reduce time and cost.

Business Development and Technical Sales

•Managed a District office of approximately 300+ people and 5 operation managers. Included P&L, HSE, training, operations and engineering responsibilities. Revenues increased from $12 to more than $30 million/year coming from directional drilling/ MWD, Mud Logging and Drilling Fluids.

•Coordinated a directional drilling operation team of approx. 30 people providing directional drilling and drilling engineering services to customers. Market share was increased by more than 100% and revenues increased from less than $1 million to more than $10 million/year.

•Consistently over-achieved business plan in revenues while maintaining expected profits margins, minimizing cost and expenses and maximizing utilization of available resources.
