Provide quality care to patients with a variety of complex spinal conditions in the clinic, operating room, and affiliate hospitals and outpatient surgery centers.

Clinic duties including, but not limited to: conducting a comprehensive, problem focused history and physical exam, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures, formulate a differential diagnosis, implement an appropriate treatment plan, prescribe medications, hospital admissions/discharge, wound care, taking call for physician, and exercise judgement on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation by the surgeon.

First assist duties including but not limited to: preparing surgical suite, positioning of the patient, opening and closing superficial and deep surgical wounds, application of various surgical equipment, advanced skills using a microscope, and any other actions delegated by the surgeon. Also conduct hospital rounds, write orders, take call for surgeon, evaluate post-operative complications, formulate and implement treatment plans for hospitalized patients, coordinate care amongst other healthcare providers, dictate discharge summaries, histories and physicals.
