Solberg is manufacturer of Inlet Air Filter-Silencers and Exhaust Air Oil Mist Filters for the air compressor, blower, and engine and vacuum pump industries
Responsibilities include testing and developing new products, implementing proposals, including scope, approach plan, organization, assumptions, and benefits. Provided technical support to sales and production designs.
Developed mist eliminator for major vacuum pump manufacture, and worked with leading pump manufacture on design of a separator tank. Worked closely with production manager to implement new designs. Substituted for production manager.
CATALYST COORDINATOR - BP/Amoco Petroleum Products, Whiting IN 1996-1999
Responsible for over $6 MM per annum spend platinum catalyst at 400K barrel/day oil refinery. Managed and purchased catalyst using SAP software. Planned, supervised and followed through the process of replacement and verification of platinum catalyst to various vendors. Managed MRO replacement projects utilizing both contracted engineering and third party labor forces. Set up CPRF (Collaborative planning forecasting, and replenishment) with a Flo-bin supplier. Maleic Anhydride processes (MAN), including monthly production and energy reports. Identified processes and reliability problems. Worked as part of the MAN unit team, achieving production goals, quality, and increased efficiencies.
MAINTENANCE SHOP TEAM LEADER - Amoco Chemicals, Joliet, IL 1992-1995
Team leader responsibility are supervising, planning, scheduling and coordinating the routine maintenance work to maintain reliability of a maleic anhydride process. Served as a job representative for contractors performing maintenance functions. Purchased parts and materials in advance of scheduled work activities.
Minimized pump failures by tracking pumps resulting in identifying root cause. Tracked maintenance cost for the maleic anhydride process. Lead investigation of mechanical reliability issues, recommended solutions and developed new work methods to resolve chronic problems.
