Project Description :
Telstra is a leading Service Provider of Mobile, Broadband, PSTN, IP-Voice and other services in Telecom space.OM-FUL is Telstra’s Order Management Fulfillment application which ensures the fulfillment of product orders from an interfacing BSS application viz. Siebel.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process Manager: (April 2016 to Dec2016)
Worked as a Process Manager on end to end systems in the Telecom space to understand the problems which each of the systems faced and tried to fill in the gaps as a part of process improvements.
Worked with Seibel/MAXIM CRM systems (Order build Systems), an interface which helps user to place an order for the customer as per their requirements.
Worked with Work Force Activation Systems, CONNECT, an interface which helps in managing the technicians and their onsite visits to the customer premises.
Worked on the planning phase of the Automation Framework development tool with the help of the above inputs from various applications.
Order Health Management: (Aug 2015 to Mar 2016)
Remediated the orders with known remediation either using remediation scripts or manually.
Developed Java scripts using SQL for known remediations and are scheduled as jobs, using CRON (UNIX scheduler), so that they run at regular intervals.
Reconciliated the status of an order, using a tool called “Auto-Recon”. This tool helps to check the order’s status from the other Telecom applications in the order’s end to end journey.
Raised tickets using BMC Remedy for unknown remediations and assigned to concerned teams.
Interacted with other applications of the Telecom domain and have progressed the orders stuck in the production environment of fulfilment domain. Participated in workshops with external vendors for Data/ Inventory alignments.
Automation Tool Development: (Mar 2014 to Jul 2015)
Worked on the Automation of the NBN (National Broadband Network) Space, where the Unhealthy orders are remediated with the help of JAVA/SQL scripts.
Developed a variety of tools namely ARF (Automated Remediation Framework), IRF (Incident Remediation Framework), C1C2 Remediation Framework.
Automation of these orders helps in the day to day activities and to analyze the different trends in the past orders, counts of the orders and number of Incidents which were handled accurately.
Incident Management: (Jan 2014 to Feb 2014)
Worked on the BMC remedy tool to manage the incidents. Successfully managed to clear around 1000+ Incidents which were created on OMFUL in the NBN space, by developing an Automated Tool called IRF(Incident Remediation Framework), which uses concepts of UNIX, JAVA, Spring, SQL scripts.
QUALITY ANALYST: (Apr 2012 to Dec 2013)
System Testing: (Apr 2012 to Mar 2013)
Performed manual testing to check the end to end functional flows for distinct types of orders in the Telecom domain.
Worked on the preparation of low level test cases for each scenario according to the requirements and performed the testing to check for the functional or business flow deviation.
Integrated Testing (CAT) : ( Apr 2013 to Aug 2013)
Performed integrated testing for telecom product ASMS for entire end-to-end flow in OSS space.
Primary POC for CAT Execution Testing for NGB/NBN (Next Generation Bundles). Performed requirement gathering, prepared test cases (High level and Low level), maintaining and updating HP QC (HP Quality Centre) on time.
Provided technical analysis for the defects in integrated environment and tracked them till closure.
Pre-Production Testing (SIT3): (Sep 2013 to Dec 2013)
Primary POC for Pre-production testing, where the code is tested so that the basic functionality is not affected. Worked for the First Dress Rehearsal for various releases such as IRs, CRs, MCRs, PCRs and other component testing.
