Advanced Energy Storage System for Electrification of Vehicles Computer Controlled Systems Modeling and Control of Power Electronics and Electric Vehicle Powertrains Embedded System Design Computer Aided Logical Design and FPGAs Microprocessors & Microcontrollers Linear Integrated Circuits Digital Electronics Power Electronics ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Modeling of an Electric Vehicle subsystem and Li ion battery pack Wayne State University - Dec 2017 Tools Used: MATLAB

An existing IC engine powertrain was analyzed, and an equivalent electric powertrain system was designed and constructed based on the performance requirements by means of electric subsystem like Li-ion battery pack, electric motors and power electronics. The required motor and power electronics were selected based on the voltage and current constraints and the battery pack was designed based on energy and power. The area of the battery was also calculated and was compared to the area of the existing IC engine powertrain. The Cost estimation and bill of materials for the battery pack was also calculated. Control of Vehicle Electronics based on CAN Wayne State University - May 2017 Tools Used: Arduino Mega 2560, Embedded C, CAN Protocol, CANoe Implementation of CAN bus communication between 3 nodes to emulate the control of vehicle electronic components such as Headlight, Climate Control, Cluster, Safety electronics and reading other vehicle parameter details like Vehicle speed, Engine RPM and Cabin temperature Accident Avoidance System Wayne State University - May 2017 Tools Used: Verilog, VHDL, FPGA Xilinx

Designed a system for error free transfer of data by using encoding and decoding techniques (Hamming Code) between two vehicles through LED transmission, minimized the Boolean expression using K-Map, Schiemann Method, Binary Decision Diagram, Fuzzy logic and reduced the number of gates for implementation by using Threshold Logic Design

Designing of BUCK Converter for Electric Vehicle Powertrain Wayne State University - Dec 2016 Tools Used: MATLAB Simulink

Modeling of a Power electronic BUCK converter for powertrain, Steady state and state space analysis, designing of PI controller. Studied the response of the converter for varied Kp and Ki values using MATLAB Simulink

“Busbar sizing calculation for Switchboard” in "Larsen & Toubro" SASTRA University – April 2014 Tools Used: Turbo C, MATLAB

The objective of the project is to calculate the cross-sectional area and accurate sizing of the busbar for a given temperature rise and A.C rating. This calculation could help in reduced copper loss and saves energy lost in the form of heat
