PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Project #1: Telstra Wholesale Data Repository (WDR)
Telstra is the biggest telecom service provider in Australia. WDR deals with wholesale data for all clients of Telstra and this project is an ongoing project and aims to integrate the Telstra wholesale data from different source systems for reporting use.
Position - Data Modeler, Datastage Developer
Roles and Responsibilities –
Involved in the PDM and LDM team as a Data Modeler.
Involved in discussions with business stakeholders to understand their requirement.
Responsible for analyzing business requirements and performing pre-feasibility analysis and impact analysis for a future change request.
Involved in designing logical data model based on analysis of the requirement and feasibility analysis
Design the physical data model based on logical data model, query performance and source data size.
Design and create new tables and views based on requirements provided.
Analyze and profile the source data flowing into these tables for making the design decisions.
Design the ETL specifications sheet based on the rules in the data model.

This project was an internal HP project and was aimed at developing an enterprise data warehouse for all the operational procedures of HP. The data warehouse was built from scratch after several discussions with all operational stakeholders of HP Operations team

This project was aimed at building a Hadoop platform so that it can hold all the existing financial data for HP, which was earlier hosted in traditional operational database platform.

Project #4: Telstra Enterprise Data Warehouse(EDW)
Telstra is the biggest telecom service provider in Australia. This project is an ongoing transformation project to replace all existing data warehouses/marts in Telstra retail to a structured enterprise data warehouse for all their operational data.
